Burning River Record Riot
Spin – Swap – Social Cleveland’s biggest vinyl show
CLEVELAND, MARCH 18TH, 2018 — Jason Burchaski’s Northeast Ohio Vinyl Club might be the new kid on the block but it continues to make huge waves on Lake Erie. The 3rd installment of the show is rocking and rolling through Cleveland once again March 18th at Winchester Music Tavern.
“This isn’t a tavern show like we have at the Happy Dog. This is the real deal.” says Burchaski. “Have you seen the actual hall at the Winchester? It’s gorgeous. It’s huge. It’s Cleveland rock and roll history.”
The Northeast Ohio Vinyl Club crew will be setting up shop in the spacious music hall. Admission is free for folks looking to buy, but vendors are asked to pay a nominal $5.00 setup fee to help cover costs. You can bring your own table or there will be some on hand as well. “At $5.00 a table we can cover the shoestring budget we operate on with flyers and whatnot. If you can’t cover the $5.00 table fee in your first 15 minutes, you might need to rethink what you are bringing to sell.”
The Burning River Record Riot is not about selling the same Beatles records over and over. It’s about finding the rare records you have been crate digging for. “Sure there will be 7 copies of Boston’s self titled record at the other shows, but who is buying that junk? We are about quality. Punk, New Wave, Metal, Soul, Psych, 90’s alternative, college rock, Jazz, the rare stuff you don’t see on the shelves at the the other swaps or in the stores. Don’t get me wrong, there will be plenty of budget friendly old fashioned classic rock too, but the heavy hitters come out to our show. We have vendors coming from Chicago, Columbus, Pittsburgh and Detroit.” says Burchaski.
Vendors can come set up at 11:30am directly in the hall. There is a loading/unloading zone right there. The doors open at Noon to the public, so does the bar and kitchen. There will be record show specials and the food at the Winchester is amazing. There will also be door prizes and a 50/50 raffle plus DJ’s spinning vinyl all day.
